Mountains of Desication is a mountainous area between Gashtra and Chardwood Bay to the west. It almost surrounds The Great Erg.

Rumored to be the once home of City of Nar-Tara-Nok-Shoro

Nothing there now, except skeletons of those who tried to cross over them and the endless dust, sand, and dryness.

Perhaps the entrances of the City are easily findable, or they are buried under tons of sand. If they exist at all.

Many have said they would try to find the City, none have returned.

The wind, at least some in the Wildlands claim it is the wind, makes shreeking sounds in the passes. When both moons are full, moaning howls are heard in the Wildlands, far below.

Those who go up the mountains to investigate how such sounds could be heard that far away, never come back.

The oasis is large, but the only one for many miles.

On quiet nights, small bells can be heard quietly playing in the direction of the Mountains of Desication.

The oasis inhabitants never check on those bells.

Strange ghost lights have been seen in the ruins high up in the mountains.

This abandoned keep is near, and to the southeast of, Quasqueton.

Note: This was my third attempt to build a dungeon scenario. It shows. Some of it was interesting, but putting Nomads, horse warriors, deep underground was dumb. Brigands of various fighter levels would have been a better idea.

This scenario started out easy and got difficult far too quickly.

My regular players didn’t all have characters that could survive this adventure, but a good group of the correct levels can survive… mostly.

There aren’t any missing room numbers, the lack of some numbers is due to the way it was drawn up.

Some maps have been fixed up a bit. They have also been added to the zip file on the downloads page. Dec, 2016.
