The Charoo People arrived at about the same time as The Chalan People. They are not related. The Charoo herd deer and raise mountain grouse.

Elders speak of a red sun in the day time sky in the lands they once lived. Many have to wear eye shields so they can see. Somewhat like wood eye covers with small narrow horizontal slits in them the tundra peoples use to prevent snow blindness.

Make up the second, and part of the third, wave of immigration into what is now Trillolara and Dank Forest areas.

Hair and eye color varies. Appropriate clothing is added in winter by them.

They live near glaciers and on the tundra areas in the south. Some prefer to be called Ice Eaters.

They dislike evil intensly. They are friends with good humans, elves, and halflings. However, there are no records in cities of Trillolara and Dank Forest that halflings ever went this far south. So sages there don’t know how the Snow People encountered halflings. Note that not all roads cross through Trillolara and Dank Forest. Something sages there don’t all remember.

The Chalan People… a group of Nomadic peoples who suddenly appeared on The Great Plateau over a 6 month period. No one remembers them passing through their lands to get onto the plateau. They aren’t like the horse nomads living south of Trillolara. These nomads have small towns, they even build castles and watch towers, it is their mountain cattle and horse herds that move from place to place.

Swarthy skinned, the older folks speak of a brighter sun in the sky. Many of these people say night time is totally dark to them, even if the full moon is shining. In the past they hired wood elf guards, but that didn’t work out due to some reason neither group talks about.

The men prefer the bardiche or mace as weapons. The women use long swords or maces. While other peoples haven’t seen them use such, rumor has it they also use slings, long bows, shields, and ballistas.

While they have a wild look about them they are pleasant towards visitors.

A closer look at the Fondfield area. Many small hamlets for the farmers. Smaller the hamlet building symbol, the fewer the people living there. Smallest is under 50 people. Slightly larger is 50 to 250 people. Fondfeld has over 1,000 people living there. Few of the hamlets have names.

The shorter invasion route is take Quasqueton from the rear.

The longer, years later, route is an assault on Sraa Keep.

Both failed.

Most of this area has quieted down since a group of adventurers came to Potter then Fondfield and cleared out many of the bad and evil men, and took out the monsters. They have a castle not many miles away, so they can return if they are needed.
